This is an anniversary Update!!
Today is my 1 year Anniversary of my Cancer Diagnosis. Just Think, I was diagnosed as Stage 4, Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the neck and throat, and given 6 months if I didn’t have conventional treatment. I am still here, and since then so much has changed.
My life is much different now in terms of what I eat, drink and think. I understand so much more about myself, people and life in general. This has actually been an amazing journey, and I owe all of this to God and the people in my life who have supported my decision and supported me financially throughout.
Because this has been a whole year, I am going in for my annual checkup with the original doctor who misdiagnosed me last August. You know – the one who thought I had an infection and prescribed some antibiotics for me to take for a month.
Well, he is going to be shocked. When I went in to see him a year ago, my blood pressure was high, I weighed 230 lbs, and I drank maybe 2 or 3 Mountain Dews a day, amongst other habits that have been broken.
It’s important for me to see him for a number of reasons. Some of them are personal, but others are not. I feel that it is important for him to see the transition from how I was to what I am now. I think the question and answer session with him will really help in terms of the diet I chose, and the effect it’s had on me and others around me.
I truly believe that the only way I have had the success I have was to believe it was possible. Over and over again I see and talk to people who have truly given up because they were told recovery wasn’t possible unless they chose the traditional therapy process. “Don’t think for yourself because if you do you are going to die”. Well, I did, and I’m still here.
I will be asking for more blood tests, and scans among other things, but the most important item will be to share my successes and my early failures in order to allow my Doctor to wrap his head around the importance of an all natural diet containing fresh foods grown from the earth, and not out of a box.
Of course I will bring all my notes containing daily routines of juicing, foods and supplements taken.
I am really excited, but at the same time I know this will cost a fortune again. I am still paying off my bills from last year. Although I have received help in a number of ways, I haven’t raised enough to cover many of the related costs associated with going at it on my own.
So, again, I will put myself out here and ask for your help once again, so PLEASE donate if you can. I can tell you that everything that has been sent my way so far has been used wisely. I manage every dime in order to get the best supplements available at the best prices available. Some of the supplements have to come from Mexico or Europe because they are not available in the US.
I could not have walked this walk without you, and I love and appreciate all of you who believe in me and want to see me succeed. I even love those who don’t want to see me succeed because at some point you might need help and I will not turn you away.
My appointment is on Wednesday the 19th, my diagnosis anniversary was the 8th of this month, and my Birthday is on the 22nd of this same month, WOW!
Thank you all – and I will get back to you with details after my visit with the Doc.
