My wife does not like to drive in the snow, at all. It scares the crap out of her and I just don’t know what to say, other than, if you don’t like what you see, don’t drive in it.
Sleeping last night was better, in terms of the amount of pain I have and the quality of sleep.
I’ve been taking 3 Advil every 6 hours. This is in combination with the pain medication I take for my throat and neck. The Advil, believe it or not, helps a great deal with tooth pain.
My wife, a nurse, and my dentist both told me I should not continue taking Advil only and should mix it up with Tylenol. I will if I had some. I will try and get some today if I can get out.
The pain from my tooth is still here, even after the work they did. I need to wait another 3 days for my next appointment. If I can get the tooth pain under control, I can start figuring out the problem causing the severe pain in my throat and neck area.
My sleep pattern:
I sleep roughly 2 to 3 hours at a time. At night I’m up for 3 down for 3. And that has been the cycle for about 2 months now.
When I’m up, I’m reading, studying, or watching a movie to try and relax all my muscles in and around the head and neck area.
When I sleep, I have to sleep with my head up and turned to my left to relax the left neck muscle. This does help until I move when sleeping.
A 45 degree angle is preferred, however, this is so freaking uncomfortable. In fact, I freaking hate it. But, it’s one of those things I have to consider. Wake up with a swollen neck from fluid, or wake up without a swollen neck.
The swelling is from the lymph fluid, that now, has no place to go on its own and has to be manually moved with massage and therapy.
Day time hours:
Yesterday wasn’t bad at all. I got a lot done because the pressure from the pain of my tooth hasn’t been as demanding on my energy.
Swallowing Difficulty Has Increased:
My swallowing has become a great issue for me. The only way I can comfortably swallow is standing up and moving my neck slightly forward. The scarring in my esophagus is so extreme, food literally has to be pushed down the tube.
I didn’t really want to call the Dr. this week, but if I have to, I will. I was hoping it had something to do with the slight cold I had this past week. I’ll wait as long as I can before calling the doctor’s office.
My breathing is fine, and I am able to get food down. It is just very difficult now. Also, I can not eat anything with something to drink. This includes things that are already moist or wet, like soups, stews, and such. The food particles get stuck in my throat and need to be washed down. So, I am drinking plenty of water.
I’ll send my daily update tomorrow, until then…
